What counts as a source
We prioritize the current object page of the holding museum, its collection database and publications; documentation standards from recognized museum bodies; conservation literature; academic research; and relevant primary documentation.
A social post, unattributed image board or repeated search snippet does not establish an object’s origin or meaning.
Submit a correction
Email halvenoradis.editorial@gmail.com with the page URL, the exact passage, the proposed correction and a link or full citation for the supporting source. Use the subject “Documented correction”.
Review process
- We check the cited source and the live museum record.
- We distinguish factual error from a good-faith difference in interpretation.
- Where appropriate, we contact the responsible institution or a verified specialist.
- We update the page, its date and—when material—the correction note.
Image and attribution concerns
Requests concerning culturally sensitive material, image rights or attribution receive priority. Include enough information for us to verify the requester’s connection to the object, image or community concern without publishing personal details.
